I Caught an Unofficial Black Crappie Record!!

I caught the mega-slab at Clear Lake on Saturday, December 10th, 2005 in the early afternoon. The immediate weight was 4.25lbs! (the official California State record is 4.1lbs.)

I made the mistake of keeping the fish out of water in an ice chest for about 5 1/2 hours. He stayed alive when I got him home and put him in water (although he never regained full strength)

I had him weighed officially at Broadway Bait Rod and Gun on Monday December 12, 2005. by then he was 3.93lbs - less than 2 ounces from the official recordI The fish died 3 hours after it was weighed. So the official record books will not have my entry.

What I appreciate most is that my dad, (Steve Currington) who is a Crappie fishing expert, said to me on the phone, “I have to pay homage to you son, excellent job” I have the Fish in the Freezer (vacuum sealed of course) until I have it mounted.

Huge Loss for Schwarzenegger, minor loss for the Republican Party

Tuesday, November 8, 2005 was a big loss for the the Governor of the State of California. Not one of the state initiatives that Governor Schwarzenegger campaigned for, passed. None of them passed for the following reasons:

Proposition 73 was never an issue that the even Governor cared about. He didn’t campaign for it. He didn’t put much money behind it. Nor did he select a chairman to manage a “yes” campaign for it. This issue was in perfect harmony with the platform of the Republican Party and was the one issue that the Governor should have campaigned for. Social conservatives realized that since Governor Schwarzenegger didn’t care about this proposition, then they are not interested in his non-Republican Platform initiatives.

Proposition 74 was never an issue in the Republican Party. It doesn’t matter that the teachers have to wait 2 years or 5 years for tenure, we Republicans have a problem with teachers who have been in these schools for more than 10 years and are the most problematic for California Schools.

Proposition 75 is an issue for only for Republicans who are government employees. The overwhelming populous of Republican voters work in private industry. The governor could have been more successful at removing the financial teeth from the unions if he advocated the current law to redirect union dues to a charity of the union member’s choice.

Proposition 76 could have been a great issue for Republicans. However, The Governor spent the last year adding billions of dollars of long term debt and deferred payments to the state, then offers this proposition as if he is doing everything necessary to reduce the taxes and long term debt to the State.

Proposition 77 was not an important issue for conservatives. We conservatives are exhausted with timid Republicans who have safe Republican seats and still refuse to aggressively engage Democrats. Furthermore, (as a political insider recently told me) the Governor’s appointment of Steve Poizner, a liberal Republican and a current candidate for Insurance Commissioner, to lead the “yes vote” on this proposition was the nuclear missile that obliterated any conservative support for this proposition.
We conservatives are still angered that the Governor aggressively campaigned for the passage of Proposition 71, the stem cell research proposition. Aside from the obvious problem of him supporting embryonic stem cell research (in direct opposition to the Platform and principles of the Republican Party), Proposition 71 added $6 billion to the State’s debt. This was a huge payback to the left-wing liberals of California and a simultaneous backslap in the face to us conservatives who he would later depend on to support his statewide initiatives and his eventual 2006 gubernatorial reelection campaign.

We conservatives are still angered that the Governor simply ignored the problem of the thousands of felonies committed by San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome and the San Francisco city/county government last year when they performed same sex marriages and submitted those fraudulent documents to the state government for processing. Not one criminal investigation proceeded. No one has has been prosecuted to goto jail or even pay a fine. the governor made just a few remarks about the subject when he showed up to a following state Republican convention - nothing more.

We conservatives are extremely dismayed when the Governor advanced the Democratic Party Platform when it came to hybrid cars and the environment and simply ignored the Republican Platform on the same issue. We conservatives like what the Republican Party Platform says about environmental issues much better than the what the Democratic Party Platform says. We expect our Republican Governor to advance the Republican Party Platform on environmental policy instead.

We conservatives are frustrated Governor Schwarzenegger has populated his administration with those who quickly became his bitter rivals - Democrats. This sloppy governance tactic gave his political opposition inside information on where the Governor’s weaknesses were. These weaknesses were used artfully to defeat him yesterday’s election. Subsequently, the Governor took on impossible responsibility of getting those Democrats in his administration to abandon their political philosophy with their Party in favor of his reforms. They disappointed him by not forgetting who they were - Democrats! To date there is no comparative access by conservatives to the Governor.

The lesson in this loss should be for the Republican Leadership - including the Governor - to never abandon the base and stick to the Republican platform in order to advance policy. The Governor and the Republican leadership must also realize that we grassroots Republicans are just as important to the Republican Party and the Goverrnors agenda as they perceive of the importance of the “moderates and independents”. Governor Schwarzenegger has spent an over abundance of time trying not to offend Democrats and liberals while simply ignoring the conservative Republican base. Unfortunately it showed this past Tuesday.

In hindsight, Governor Schwarzenegger made the mistake of supplanting the Recall process that got him elected for the usual process of staying involved with the grassroots of the Party to advance policy. Governor Schwarzenegger must do more to involve himself with the grassroots conservative Republicans. If the Republican Party leadership impresses on us to spend thousands of our dollars and dedicate our well deserved weekends to be at conventions, then he should be there as well with his sleeves rolled up to help develop a message that he, the leadership, AND the grassroots will wholeheartedly embrace and sell aggressively.

Governor Schwarzenegger, his supporters, and the current Republican leadership will not see that they blew the electoral opportunity to be victorious. They will do what moderates always do - attack anyone to their right for not abandoning its conservative principles while coddling any person to their left despite their lack of principles. They will not have any strategy sessions on what to do in order to keep the support of conservatives - only utterances that will continue to alienate us and subject the Party to a complete morph into the Democratic Party. There will be no increased access to the Governor’s office, just more ominous signs of annoyance of, and segregation from conservatives.

Republican leadership seems to view the Democratic Party as the quintessential fair maiden that must be courted despite her violent rejections of Republican existence in government. This view must change. Democrats hate Republicans. This was expressed specifically through their national party chairman. “Moderate” Republicans must be sobered by the fact the they must be as willing to work with conservative Republicans in the same manner that they desire that we conservatives work with them.

We conservatives are always presented with the scenario that we should be willing to support liberal Republicans who agree with us 80% of the time than to have to deal with a Democrat who agrees with us on nothing. Our resistance to that scenario is that what is most important to us is that 20% and the California Republican Leadership at present is trying to distance itself from any support for the advancement of that 20%. So if the Governor wants 100% of what he wants he must learn to do what he is requiring of us - support the advancement our 20% in order to get to our 100% as well. If we cannot expect that kind of cooperation, then we cannot be expected to be supportive of him at the polls.

The Current State of Republican Affairs

Today the Republican Party stands in dire political crisis. We have a Republican Leadership that is perpetually and hopelessly addicted to Democrat attention and the need to find ways to "be their friend". Our leadership has gained full legal control the the Federal Government, but, like an elephant who grew up with a chain on his leg - thinking he cannot break it, Republican leadership seems convinced that it cannot break it's concentration on placating the insatiable whims of Democrats. Our work at the grassroots is harder between elections because leadership seems either uninterested extremely uncomfortable at confronting Democrats by advancing the Republican Party Platforms.

Too many Republicans are quick to give political cover to Democrats while joining the chorus of criticism of fellow Republicans. Republicans seem to do this in a vain effort to both show that they can "point-their-finger" at fellow Republicans and attempt gain favor with Democrats. As a matter of fact, the only time we see elected Republicans take a hard stand is when they are publicly disagreeing with those of us who wish to promote the Republican Party Platforms.

At the State level, Republicans seem to have lost will to ever regain leadership. Republican leadership has made a conscious decision to expand the Party by abandoning the advancement of the Republican Party Platform. Consequently, we Republicans, who used our Platform language to work hard to make the gains that our Party is currently enjoying, are dismayed that our Party leadership wants to support persons for elective office who are registered Republicans but have no interest in advancing those Platforms that we Republicans have argued, fussed, and fought to among ourselves to agree upon. This of course is not to mention the tens of thousands of dollars we spent at conventions, meetings, and with support groups. Also the many thousands of hours we gave in volunteering - all to advance the State and National Republican Party Platforms. It makes no sense to us to continue in this sacrifice if those who lead this Party are making conscious efforts to simply ignore what our entire reason for our sacrifice.

Republicans at the federal level are mentally still in the wilderness of the minority status that plagued this Party for 40 years. Republicans still feel the need to cavort with their nemesis, the Left-Wing Liberal media. Republicans still have subscriptions to the Left-Wing Liberal newspapers such as the Sacramento Bee, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, the New York Times, The Boston Globe, and the Washington Post. They appear on Left-Wing Liberal radio and television networks only to become the piñata for the respective hosts. Republican leaders still try to communicate with Republican constituents via these Left-Wing Liberal vehicles as if we are listening. Sadly, elected Republicans believe that the mainstream media will actually report accurately what they say and do or even mention their press releases. There are enough Blogs, newsletters, radio talk shows and even a news station or two that can inform every Republican in the state and /or country.

There is a severe lack of conservative interest groups that are multi-purpose. One interest group is focused on abortion and cannot be called on to support those who are fighting lower taxes and another interest group is focused on lower taxes and cannot be found to rally on behalf of those who are resisting abortion on demand. As a result, we are disorganized between elections when issues such as government spending, trade treatises, and immigration become the talk of the day. Our majority cannot survive this continued segregation.

Republicans who do not agree with Republican Party Platforms are gaining strength throughout our Party without any obligation to advance our platform. As a result our party is looking more like the Democratic Party - Pro-choice, a-political on homosexual marriage, anti-religious, anti-2nd amendment for individuals, and are perfectly willing to increase spending and the size of government.

What do we do? Those of of us who want to advance the platform must regain leadership in our Party. We must begin insisting that our Party Leaders adhere to the political contract that defines us as Republicans - the National and State Republican Party Platforms. We may not personally agree to every position in the Platforms, but like every successful contractual relationship, we execute based on all of the agreed upon terms.

Grassroots Republicans have voted on one Platform at their respective National and State Conventions. Much of the agreed issues in the Platforms includes the following:

We seek to elect leaders who support the federal marriage amendment to the U.S. Constitution that state marriage is defined as the exclusive relationship of one man and one woman. We do not support domestic partnership of any kind.
  1. We seek to elect leaders who are committed to eliminating government funding of abortion.
  2. We seek to elect leaders who are committed to the reduction taxes at all levels of government and eliminate taxes wherever possible.
  3. We seek to improve the quality of education by making it easier for children to attend the school of their parents choosing.
  4. We seek to elect leaders who will enforce laws on U.S. Border Security.
  5. We seek to elect leaders who will appoint persons to the judiciary who will interpret the State and U.S. Constitutions.
  6. We seek to elect leaders who will defend the U.S. politically as well as militarily against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
If persons and/or groups wanting to modify the direction of the Republican Party, all they have to do is change the language in the Platform - nothing more. Of course that requires those wanting the changes to actually engage the rest of us with convincing arguments of those changes.

Republicans have been winning elections because of our agreement on the problems and the solution. We codified these agreements into our Party Platforms. Our donations as well as our attendance to meetings, events, and conventions must be singularly focused on advancing our Party Platforms. We must continue our diligence and not be compromised by camaraderie of some and the smoothness of others. Our money, our sweat, our tears, and our time, must once again count for more than just winning the next election. Our money, our sweat, our tears, and our time must once again count in the governance by the leadership we worked so hard to get elected.

What Bennett Said...

On Wednesday Morning William Bennett, Former Secretary of Education and Author of "The Book of Virtues" said the following:

"But I do know that it's true that if you wanted to reduce crime, you could, if that were your sole purpose, you could abort every black baby in this country, and your crime rate would go down...That would be an impossibly ridiculous and morally reprehensible thing to do, but your crime rate would go down."

Among the typical dunces in elective office and their Left-Wing liberal supporters, the President Joined chorus to criticize Mr. Bennett's comments:

"The president believes the comments were not appropriate," White House press secretary Scott McClellan said.

Now we cannot seem to find a quote where President Bush was critical of the following comments:

"You would have been a great senator at any moment....you would have been right at the founding of this country, right during the Civil War....I can't think of a single moment in this nation's 220+ year history where you would not have been a valuable asset to this country." Democrat Senator Christopher Dodd 04-05-04

"There are white niggers. I've seen a lot of white niggers in my time." Democrat Senator Robert Byrd, Member Ku Klux Klan 03-11-01

"She's the House Negro. It's a fact, it's my opinion. Am I entitled to my opinion?" Radio Talk Show Host Neil Rogers 11-08-02

There are many other racially divisive statements made by Democrats about Blacks but President Bush to date has made no criticisms of these statements. for some reason, we cannot get President Bush to condemn any remarks at the request of those who of us who voted for him, but Nancy Pelosi, Edward Kennedy, and their Left-Wing cabal can get an immediate statement by the President at their behest. It sometimes makes me wonder who we elected.

In light of the blatant hypocrisy on the Left and among the RINO's in the GOP, I will not complain about Mr. Bennett's comments.

Not enough Blame is Going Around

Ever since the day the levees were breached, President Bush and FEMA Director Michael Brown have been deluged with attacks by Democrats. There has been a virtual media blackout of any discussion of the incompetence of Louisiana Governor Blanco and New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin.

Even when there is attempted discussion on any responsibility beyond the Bush Administration, Democrats skillfully deflect back to the Bush Administration and there is rarely any rebuttal by Republicans. Republicans unfortunately cower to the general statement that "there is enough blame to go around" while hopelessly calling for a decrease in the blame game and increased attention on the response to the victims.

Democrats will never miss an opportunity to attack the President and the Republican Party. Everything is fair in their war of politics. The DNC Chairman said publicly that he hates Republicans and Republicans don't seem to take him seriously.

In typical fashion, President Bush is responding to Democrat attacks about the seeming slow-fullness of the Federal response by his virtually establishing residence in Louisiana and Mississippi.

I submit that there is not enough blame going around. Not enough blame is being placed on Louisiana Governor Blanco and New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin. Not enough blame is being placed on the New Orleans Levee Board. Not enough blame is being placed on the neglect by the Clinton Administration. Not enough blame is being placed on Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu or her family of politicos. The reason that there is not enough blame of Democrats is because there are too many Republicans who are more desirous to appeal to Democrat emotions while neglecting us the Republican constituency.

First responders of any crisis are always local and State, never National. Democrat governance and and their liberal policies created the set of factors that kept so many Blacks in New Orleans poor and unable to evacuate the City. Unfortunately, we grassroots Republicans will not hear that from our elected leadership.

Criminal neglect has taken place with respect to the State and local response to the crisis in new Orleans. They had plans that they didn't follow. They procrastinated when they needed to make haste. The delays of government leaders in Louisiana killed, maimed, raped, and starved hundreds of thousands of poor Blacks - not President Bush. Now the President is being accused of racism.

The federal declaration of disaster came 48 hours before hurricane katrina made it to New Orleans and was resisted by Governor Blanco. The federal response finally came 24 hours after Governor Blanco formally requested federal help. The formal request was made 72 hours after the levee was breeched.

There is not enough time to wait to point fingers. We must point them now! The New Orleans levee breach tragedy is yet another 2006 Campaign debate that Democrats will exploit with all of their effort. We must be armed with facts and deliver them with as much passion as we are able. The timidity of Republican leaders to engage our political enemies makes our effort as active Republican volunteers much more difficult. Since now have to explain Posse Comitatus Act, The insurrection Act, and the The Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act before we can make our case that voting Republican is better than voting Democrat, we must warn our leaders of their indifference to our pleas for their strong leadership.

Elected Republicans must understand that their continued indifference will become our election day apathy if their actions make it clear the they are not interested in battling the Democrats.

None Dare Call it Hypocrisy

The DRUDGE REPORT has calculated that Vice President Al Gore consumned more than 439,500 pounds of fuel, or 65,600 gallons, at a cost of more than $131,000 on his 16,000 mile trip to do a speech on global Warming.

In December 1997, then Vice President Al Gore, Jr. spoke before the international contengint of Left-Wing Liberals at Japan's Kyoto International Conference Center. Not one person at the Conference in 1997 nor since that Conference has even questioned (based on their criticisms of conservatives) his contribution to Global warming in those 72 hours of travel.
"The most vulnerable part of the Earth's environment is the very thin layer of air clinging near to the surface of the planet, that we are now so carelessly filling with gaseous wastes that we are actually altering the relationship between the Earth and the Sun - by trapping more solar radiation under this growing blanket of pollution that envelops the entire world," Gore told the conference.
Examples such as these should add to the volume of evidence that it is not necessary to believe Left-Wing Liberals when they say that they are concerned for the environment. Their concern is only they we, the masses, conserve our energy and restrain our lives in a manner that creates resiviors of energy and acres of exclusive land for their enjoyment. Beware of any person who tries to convince you that their is any real danger in the global warming. Remember when the Left-Wing Liberal danger was "Global Cooling"?

Another Republican 9/11 Commissioner Defends "The Democrat The Wall Builder"

On Wednesday, April 14, 2004 I wrote this in my old Blog:

Republicans on the 9-11 Commission
It is now clear to me why former Republican U.S. Senator Slate Gorton lost his reelection to the United States Senate from the state of Washington. Washington State Representatives decided not to re-hire a RINO (Republican In Name Only), they went for the real deal, a Left-Wing Liberal Democrat. Now serving on the 9-11 Commission, Slate Gorton is vociferously defending fellow Commissioner Democrat former Deputy U.S. Attorney General Jamie S. "Gore"lick on her memo in 1995. Those who are thinking clearly can logically attribute her memo to be the basis onwhich the intelligence agencies were made impotent and their not seeing 9-11. Congressman James Sensenbrenner, Republican of Wisconsin and Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee is one of few elected officials with the spine to call for Commissioner "Gore"lick's resignation and to compell her to testify before the 9-11 Commission under oath. Commissioner Gorton is defending Commissioner "Gore"lick in a manner consistant with my arguments that Republican leaders have fallen in love with their political enemy (not political rival) even at the cost of facts, truth, blind hypocracy, and Party loyalty. If Commissioner Gorton was as agressive at defending Republican principles and platform as he displays in defending Commissioner "Gore"lick he would still be a U.S. Senator and not a 9-11 Commissioner. Commissioner Gorton needs to be pressured to force Commissioner "Gore"lick's resignation and compel her to testify before the Commission under oath.
This past Monday, Gorton was a guest on the O'Reilly Factor, defending fellow Commissioner Democrat former Deputy U.S. Attorney General Jamie S. Gorelick against more concrete evidence that she and the Clinton Administration have a larger burden of responsibility than the 9/11 Commission report detailed. Slate was in his usual RINO Form - protect the Democrat Commissioner in charge of the Wall!

It is becoming very clear to a large number of political decision makers that Gorelick should have been a witness before, not a Commissioner on, the 9/11 Commission. There seems to be increasing suspension that Gorelick's March 1995 Memo was the pivot by which information whas not shared with the appropriate agencies and people who could have prevented the terrorist attacks on 9/11.

More information has come to light that the Clinton Administration could have prevented the terrorist preparation that executed the 9/11 terrorist attacks against our nation. Army Lt. Col Anthony Shaffer, former member of a Department of Defense intelligence gathering program called Able Danger, and more recently Navy Captain Scott Phillpott, former Manager of Able Danger, have both laid out devastating claims that must themselves be investigated for accuracy. Republican Chairman Thomas H. Kean and Democrat Vice Chairman Lee Hamilton issued a three page Joint Statement detailing their dismissal of any relevance or significance to Able Danger with respect to the 9/11 Commission investigation or report.

Another angle to this investigation could be former Clinton National Security Advisor Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger. As we all know, Berger pled guilty to a charge of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material. That charge is a misdemeanor which carries a penalty maximum of a year in prison and up to a $100,000 fine. His formal sentencing was delayed from July 8 of this year to September of this year. What did Sandy Berger REALLY steal? Could it have been some Able Danger Documents? Members of the 9/11 Commission should instead be writing a joint request to Federal District Court U.S. Magistrate Deborah Robinson, who is presiding over the Berger case, that she reject the plea agreement pending further questioning by 9/11 Commission members and/or any Congressional Committee investigators with regard to Able Danger and list ALL documents that did he destroy.

It is unfortunate that these "dispassionate, independent, searching-only-for-the-truth" Republicans are spending more time defending this one Democrat Commissioner [Gorelick], then they are about uncovering the facts of this potentially monumental discovery of information about what led to 9/11. The antics of Slate Gorton are to be expected by Democrats, but it is horrifying that Gorton seems seems to eager to join them.

Keeping Focused with Casey Sheenan's Mother

The above picture is of Carly, Pat, President Bush, Casey Sheenan's Mother and Andy at Ft. Lewis in Washington State. Casey Sheenan's Mother enjoys a sympathetic kiss on the cheek from President Bush.

The MSM will not tell who "THE" whole story, only "THEIR" whole story. Casey Sheenan's Mother is a "double-minded person who is unstable in all of her ways"

On April 27, 2004 Casey Sheehan's mother curses and scorns President Bush at a rally at San Francisco State University in support of Left-Wing Liberal Lawyer Lynne Stewart:
We are not waging a war on terror in this country. We’re waging a war of terror. The biggest terrorist in the world is George W. Bush.

On June 18, 2004 Casey Sheehan's mother and Father, Patrick Sheehan, visited with the President at Fort Lewis near Seattle. Make no mistake about it, the Secret Service and the White House were fully aware of the participation of Casey Sheehan's mother at the April 27, 2004 rally.

On June 24, 2004 The Reporter (a Vacaville newspaper) published a story detailing the Sheehan's account of their meeting with President Bush. After the meeting, Casey Sheehan's mother says the following:

"I now know he's sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis...I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith...That was the gift the president gave us, the gift of happiness, of being together."

Casey Sheehan's Mother is deserving of criticism for her lies , hypocricsy, and political attacks on so-called right-wingers and President Bush. Casey Sheehan's Mother is deserving of criticism of her personal judgement because of her decision to find aid and cofomfort with the enemies of the United States of America.

I grieve not for
Casey Sheehan's Mother. Casey Sheehan's Mother didn't lose anything because nothing was taken from her. Army Spc. Casey Sheehan volunteered himself to fight on the frontline of the War on Terror. I grieve that Army Spc. Casey Sheenan will not be able to see the success of his valued participation. It hearts my heart that freedom and liberty costs so much. It is sad that Casey Sheehan's Mother has has joined the efforts of those who are friends of those who take pleasure in Army Spc. Casey Sheehan's death.

My Synopsis of Army Specialist Casey Sheehan's Family

Casey Sheehan VOLUNTEERED to serve in the Army. Casey Sheehan knew when he VOLUNTARILY REENLISTED what the dangers of his CHOSEN profession were. Casey Sheehan's mother meets with President Bush and praises the President for his honesty, sensitivity and sincerity of his prosecuting the war on terrorism "in Iraq" even though she had misgivings about the war. Casey Sheehan's mother later lies about the facts of her meeting with President Bush so as to gain a support base composed of Left-Wing Liberals who Hate President Bush.

Casey Sheehan's mother has lost the support of her family and her husband Patrick Sheehan filed a divorce petition on this past Friday in Solano County California.
Casey Sheehan's mother deserves no serious attention from President Bush. I was bothered when President Bush even mentioned her during a press conference on his ranch. Casey Sheehan's mother has decided to align herself politically with Left-Wing Liberals who hate President Bush. These "Bush Haters" are the same losers who have lost every single election cycle since 1994. Their anti-war rhetoric hasn't worked with all of their legions of mental slaves and their millions of dollars. Casey Sheehan's mother will certainly not be more successful than they were. Casey Sheehan's mother is only deserving of the same public criticism as those with whom she depends on for aid and comfort. Casey Sheehan's mother deserves to be ignored by any person with whom she wants to convince of her plight. Casey Sheehan's mother "Has no Plight."

Army Specialist Casey Sheehan is a hero. He should be hailed as such along with all servicemen for their willingness to make their bodies a living sacrifice for the protection of the freedom and liberty we United States Citizens enjoy today.

I am saddened to know that Casey Sheehan's mother is so mentally handicapped by the successful Left-Wing Liberal takeover of her emotions. Casey Sheehan's mother is currently engaged in a meaningless anti-war rant outside President Bush's ranch in Crawford Texas. The presence of Casey Sheehan's mother has no effect on public policy. The presence of Casey Sheehan's mother only gives another outlet to Left-Wing Liberals who want to continue to try and attack and embarrass President Bush.

Casey Sheehan's mother was recently quoted as saying that she will NOT pay her taxes for 2004. She beleives that her son's death should satisfy the IRS debt. It has also been learned that Casey Sheehan's mother tried to convince Casey to allow her to drive him north of tthe U.S. border to Canada. Both of these acts are felonies under U.S. federal law. I wonder if she will EVER be prosecuted. If she is not, there will be a backlash against the Republican Majority rarely seen in Politics.

Message From the Sheehan Family

The family of American soldier Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, has broken its silence and spoken out against his mother Cindy Sheehan's anti-war vigil against George Bush held outside the president's Crawford, Texas ranch.

The following email was received by the DRUDGE REPORT from Casey's aunt and godmother:

Our family has been so distressed by the recent activities of Cindy we are breaking our silence and we have collectively written a statement for release. Feel free to distribute it as you wish. Thanks Ð Cherie

In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue: Sheehan Family Statement:

The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.

Sincerely,

Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
